Editor and/or Publisher for Sit ‘n Stay Newsletter

Our Sit ‘n Stay Newsletter is languishing; we’re in need of a Editor and Publisher team to make it come back to life. The AKC requires their Clubs to publish a ‘newsletter’ five times a year.  We’re looking for Member Volunteers to take on this work from home, on-going role. This job entails good working knowledge of the club, our sports and the people of the Club therefore this would be a great fit for a tenured member that would like to take a more relaxed role and still gain volunteer hours. This is an on-going role. It requires commitment and continuity. Here is what the jobs entail:

Typically, the editor deals with the content. They would solicit our membership and instructors for articles and artwork, edit the articles, and proof the final document.

The publisher deals with formatting the work for publication which would require knowledge of and access to desktop publishing software, or possibly changing the newsletter format using other modalities. (such as the eblast newsletter we sent out in December)

We need someone or a team of two who will volunteer to take the lead on Sit ‘n Stay. If you are interested in taking on a Sit ‘n Stay leadership role, please reach out Lucia Munoz (pcotcvolunteering@gmail.com) express your interest.  If you are interested in supporting the publication but not in a lead role, please also let Lucia know as well.
