Stephen McKay - Beginner Agility Instructor After training and competing in agility for seven years, Stephen began teaching foundation skills to beginner handlers and dogs. Applying a positive reinforcement training philosophy, Stephen strives to make learning a fun experience for both handlers and dogs as they develop the groundwork skills necessary to advance in the sport. A volunteer trainer at the New Rochelle Humane Society since 2004, Stephen also applies his skills to behavioral modification of shelter dogs, many of whom have been better teachers than students. Devoting as much time as possible to expanding his canine knowledge, he is a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers and strives to stay current with the latest training techniques and learning theories. Stephen and his wife, Jamie, are owned and loved by four dogs, a Golden Retriever, two Shetland Sheepdogs and a West Highland White Terrier
